To fix this, press Win+R on your keyboard at the same time. The Run window opens. Type ms-settings:sound > OK. After that, go to the Input section and check if your input device is configured correctly. Check if the checkbox next to Mute microphone in Settings is unchecked and Volume is set to maximum.
