Thisis a 16v common rail injection system with most likely an electronically actuated turbo. These are also more likely to have a dpf which in my opinion is a pain in the behind. The 2.0tdi is claimed to have a slightly better fuel consumption than the 1.9. The 1.9 is a 77kw 250nm.

On the plpus side it will not eat injectors, does not have a DMF and is generally the better option. If the TDCi needs a new DMF/Clutch etc or injectors you are looking at big money.
. #6. The best year for a Jetta MKIV is 2003 5 speed. The MkV 06 with package 2.If you want a CR MKV 2010 with a 6 speed is the way to go, also include Sport wagon. They put a little taller 6th gear in 2010 so you get a little better MPG. Tom.

Itreduces the load on the crankshaft bearings and the noise from vibrations. The 2.0 TDI CR uses its pistons with a more volume combustion chamber, because of this the engine has lower compression ratio 16.5:1. The most noticeable change is the new cylinder head. It is made of aluminum and has for valves per cylinder and two camshafts.

VW- VW Diesels - which one?. Now that my A3 1.9TDI MY2000 (distributor type fuel injection) is nearing 250K, I'm thinking about what to get next. From what I've read, the following is the situation on reliability with the various VAG TDI diesels (please correct me where I'm wrong!): 1.9TDI PD 105bhp - Bosch injectors - this engine is the
AsSimon says, the 3.0 is better suited and some say the 2.0 is underpowered for the heavy cab. The cab weighs around 200kgs more than the coupe! So you will have to press the 2.0 more than the 3.0, which will even out the mpg differences. The power from the 3.0 more makes up for the lesser mpg.
The1.9 is sounding more like what I want, reliable, economical slogger that'll happily cruse at 80ish mph. Octy II 2.0 TDI after 6 years and 92k miles Year: 2020 Share; Posted 21 December, 2012. I had the same dilemma in 2008 when buying new. I drove both on 20 mile test runs. No contest - I bought the 2.0TDI. The 1.9 was slow and at 80mph The2.0-liter common rail turbocharged oil burner makes 140 horsepower and a “suck my particulates, Civic” 236 lb·ft of torque. For reference, the 2.0-liter turbo gas engine in this writer’s GTI only stumps-up 207 lb·ft of twist. Better yet, the Jetta TDI is nearly as much fun to drive as the GTI. Wipe up that nose-ejected coffee off Re 2018 2.0 EU6 common problems or weak points. Depends on the remapper, my caddy does not carry a lot weight, doesn’t tow trailers. Runs with a 2.0 TDI CR 480nm and has a limiter that I can not blow up the turbo. Goes fast enough. Custom remapped, not just Chiptuning.
Themain reason I purchased the VW Golf TDI is that with the diesel engine, life expectancy is 50–80% longer. A well-maintained diesel engine can easily go 400–500,000 miles. Assuming all other factors are the same (cost, repairs, etc.), this car has already saved around $13,300 over 9 years, or an average of $1,488 per year in fuel costs
VolkswagenVW Golf TDI - VW Golf TDI 1.9 Vs 2.0 - any real difference?. Hi, I'm looking to buy a golf tdi but am looking for real world feedback on engine performance and reliability. The2012 A3 TDI is unmistakably Audi. It carries the brand’s aggressive, athletic styling and signature LED running lights when equipped with the Bi-Xenon headlights. The A3 TDI is powered by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel also found in its cousin, the Volkswagen Golf, and produces the same 140 horsepower and 236 pound
