So I just purchased my Koss Porta Pro this afternoon around 12:30 in Singapore. It's my first time here, and after spending around 9 hours with it, I can say that it's an amazing piece of hardware. It's definitely a fantastic travel companion, especially when walking around busy streets, there are times I forget they're even on. And the sound.
Koss Porta pro, the worse pair headphones I've ever owned. Review. After many years of hearing so many great things about the Koss Porta Pro, I've decided to give them a try, I need some small compact headphones for mobile use as (while I have some decent cans at home) I always used cheap 25bucks Philips or JBL headphones outside.

Porta pros are a little darker, bassier, and warmer, where KSC75s are more aggressive and sparkly. Of course consider the clip-on vs headband, although both can be interchanged (porta pro drivers can have clips attached and ksc75 can fit in The newer Koss KPH40 released and does a lot of the same stuff for around the same price as doing the mod. So with my own collection, what are my thoughts on these headphones, as well as pad combinations. First let's talk about the KPH40. It's $40, and is very much like a stripped down, less clampy Porta pro. I also think JBL studio 180's with the top cover off some of the best looking speakers around, also thought to be ugly by some. I think Bowers and Wilkins Nautilus speakers are the ugliest speakers I've ever seen for comparison. I'm definitely going to consider picking up the black and gold version.

I've had koss porta pro headphones for 2 weeks and they're the best headphones I've ever had, definitely wanna maintain them. I noticed they got dusty recently and I imagine them being open back means you must have to clean in between eventually

In summary, the KPH30i has a better cable (and a mic/remote) at a lower price. The Porta Pro is more portable and comfortable. FYI the portapro x on Massdrop has the better cable and mic/remote. The KSC75, KTXPro1, UR40 have titanium drivers compared to the PortaPro/SportaPro/KSC35 variants. The titanium makes it the highs a bit more sparkly. Across the whole spectrum, that was all I changed. As far as I'm concerned, with that applied, it sounds as good as anyone can reasonably expect a sub-$200 headphone to sound. I may also cut the fabric in front of the drivers to bring out a little more sparkle, but that's a personal preference (I like bright).
regarding the TWS250I, I recommend them a lot, their sound signature is very similar to that of the KSC75 ones, if I had to point somewhere in a ranking, I'd say they're in between of the porta pros and KSc75 in terms of sound quality, I usually prefer the sound of the TWS250I a lot more than the porta pro's as the TWS one sound much clearer to me, less dark than the porta pros, while keeping
If your friend likes featherweight headphones, I’d go with the Koss Porta Pro. From what I’ve heard, the Porta Pro is a darker sounding KSC75. If they like headphones with weight and cups that ā€œhugā€ their ears like pillows, I’d get the SHP 9500. I personally prefer the SHP9500 over the KOSS KSC75. I hope this helps.

Ye ye right, they are legendary for sure, but saying nothing will ever beat them is little bitkph30i for instance beating them easy, sporta pro only few db stronger some1 will say,ill take sporta cuz i dont need amp, even ksc75 is pretty decent challenger due to warmer sound and balanced bass, and no1 making fake ksc75 or kph30i or sporta pros, market is poluted with fake porta pros..
Here’s a DIY I put together to have a detachable cable on the Porta Pro. Pretty simple nothing fancy. The goal is not to spend a lot on the cable or no more than the headphones. And the cable only cost $8 2.5mm Female Jack. Here’s the DIY link. Enjoy!!! DIY Koss Porta Pro with Detachable Cable GMuzm.
